In a successful initiative through the CEIR Portal, the Howrah Police Commissionerate (Central Division) successfully traced and recovered 197 lost mobile phones, all of which were returned to their rightful owners today at Youth Club, under the jurisdiction of Shibpur Police Station.

The recovered mobile phones were formally handed over in the gracious presence of Shri Touseef Ali Azahar, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Division, Howrah Police Commissionerate.

Further, during the course of cyber crime investigations, the Central Division also successfully recovered approximately Rs 12 lakh of defrauded money and facilitated its restoration to the respective victims.

This recovery drive highlights the successful use of digital investigation tools and the dedicated efforts of police personnel in ensuring that lost property is restored to its genuine owners promptly and efficiently.
